92% of Japan’s oil imports come from the Arab Gulf states, primarily SA and the UAE (83%). Since Hormuz closure, its oil inventories declined by nearly 70 million barrels. Meanwhile, 11% of its LNG imports are supplied by Qatar, UAE and Oman, that have been severely disrupted.
